Single Hop Chinook IPA

After getting the Porter brewed I went ahead and force carbonated the IPA that was done with the Chinook hops.  The Chinook is far more aggressive than the Centennial was.  The characteristic I found to be most prevalent, is the grapefruit taste that is gives off.  It almost makes you want to pucker when you take the first couple of sips.  It left a dry, almost tannic strip right down the center of my tongue.  When we brewed with the Centennial, we used the exact same recipe, boil time, yeast, fermentation time, amount of hops, etc……  but the hop character was much more  subtle.
