Phish to play North Charleston Coliseum on 10/15 & 16. The last time they played in Charleston was 1996. This is going to be an incredible weekend in the city. I’m going to start brewing some special beer right now.

Dave Merrit will be on hand Thursday, August 19th at Closed For Business in Charleston for a Coast beer special. This extra special event will feature Coast Barrel Aged Black Beerd Stout, Boy King Double IPA, and Hop Art IPA. To make things a little more interesting, Aaron Lucas has decided to run the Hop Art through a Randall filled with hops that he and his brother grew right in Charleston. Pints of each beer will be available at 6:30 for the unbelievable price of $4.00!

I’ll be installing 6 more draft lines at Closed For Business this Friday to give them a total of 36 beers on draft. This will make CFB the bar with the most draft beers in Charleston, SC. Since Aaron Lucas spear headed the beer program, the selection has grown to become a well rounded collection of highly sought after beers. It is definitely a great place to go for a beer. They use my beer flight paddles, too, and offer flights of four beers for about $8- $11.
