Jockey Box Alternative

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

I built a portable draft system for a recent wine show where a wine maker had kegged his wine and needed a dispenser.  It can be used for beer as well.  Unlike a Jockey Box, it doesn’t have iced coils inside it that the beer flows through.  Instead, the keg(s) stay in a bucket with ice and CO2 forces the beer up to the faucets which are house in a wooden box that’s set on a surface.

The HH Lodge To Use Line Cleaning Business

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

After I hand delivered some of my beer flight paddles to Tony at the Lodge on Hilton Head we talked about his new draft system and line maintenance.  He decided he’d like to have me clean the lines on a regular basis.  There are 36 lines in all and it’s a sweet setup.  The taps are all mounted on a slab of marble behind the bar.  Very nice.
